YouTube
YouTube is probably the first site to come to mind when one is looking to watch free online movies. In fact, YouTube is more than a site filled with videos, it’s a social networking hub. Members upload videos and offer ratings and comments. You won’t find many full length feature films, and the ones you do see are in several parts. Mostly you’ll find snippets of movies and television shows, music videos and home made videos and short films. You’ll even find some adult stuff, but you have to register and swear to your true age before viewing one of those.
Google Videos
Like YouTube, Google Video also offers music videos and short films. There are plenty of personal home movies here as well. Members can also rate and discuss the films.
Peekvid
You won’t find movies on peekvid.com, instead you’ll find links to lots of places to watch free movies online. That isn’t all though. Peekvid also offers links to sites showing television shows, cartoons, comedy and anime.
Other Places to Watch Free Movies Online
- MovieFicks has two types of membership; paid and unpaid. A paid membership allows you to download all of the movies in the MovieFlicks database to view on RealPlayer or via Windows Media Player. The free subscription only allows you to have access to the films in the free movies online database.
- Emol.org offers a large database of free movies online. If you’re looking for the latest action-adventure or chick flick, you won’t find it here. Instead you’ll find plenty of old-gems. From horror flick to family-friendly musicals, this is the place to view good clean flicks.
- Free Movies and Documentaries is another great site featuring free movies online. Here you’ll find movies in the public domain. Many are old, but plenty are not. There’s something here for everyone from feature films to music videos. The documentary section is especially impressive. Enjoy!
- Cinema Now’s free movie database has a nice selection of free films. You probably won’t find any blockbusters but there are a few gems here.
- Public Domain Torrents are free and legal. This is a member-driven database with hundreds of titles available. If you’re looking for free movies online, you’ll want to make this a regular stop.
- TV4US offers more public domain shows – most of these are television oldies but goodies. You won’t be bored here! Featured are dramas, movies, comedies and classic commercials.
