Netflix Monthly Plans

Netflix comedy and other movies are available through your choice of five monthly plans. These are based on how many DVDs you can have out at any given time. When you return a disc and they get it back, Netflix will send out another.

$17.99 - Three DVDs at-a-time with unlimited rentals
$14.99 - Two DVDs at-a-time with unlimited rentals

RSS Feed with Top 25 Comedies

Are you a techie? Do you love staying up to date on just about everything, but you don't have the time of day to visit all of your favorite websites on a daily basis? Luckily for you, Netflix has a RSS feed that lets you jump in on the top 25 comedy movies. They update this list every two weeks, so you can be sure that the movies in your Netflix queue are the most recent.

At the time this article was written (April, 2007), the top 5 movies from the RSS list of 25 were:

Wedding Crashers: Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn play two guys who love nothing more than to crash weddings and get into the beds of beautiful women. When John (played by Owen Wilson) meets Claire (played by Rachel McAdams), however, he finds out what heartache really is.
Sideways: This award-winning film stars Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church, and Virginia Madsen. It's a movie about midlife crisis, good wine, and incredible revelations. Yes, it's funny too.
Click: In a role that stretches him just a touch beyond physical comedy, Adam Sandler plays workaholic architect Michael Newman. Michael is given a universal remote by someone that appears to be a mad scientist, providing him with the power to pause and fast forward through time. High concept and high laughs.
Failure to Launch: Thirty-something Tripp is getting fixed up by his parents, who have elicited the help of a relationship consultant played by Sarah Jessica Parker. These plans for Tripp (Matthew McConaughey) don't exactly go according to plan.
The Break-Up: This is the movie where Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn met and subsequently hooked up in a real-life relationship. Ironically, this Netflix comedy flick is about a couple that is breaking up and there is an "escalating battle of the exes" wherein they fight over custody of their upscale Chicago condo. A movie about breaking up that brought two real-life people together.
