Finding Disney Channel Movie Scripts

Many people who look for scripts are fans of a particular movie who want to see how their favorite movie was put together. Others are fans of classic Disney channel movies who want to collect memorabilia. Still others may be interested in pitching a script to the Disney Channel and want to see a successful script for inspiration.

Disney Channel movie scripts are hard to find in public. One of the reasons may be is that the Disney Channel doesn't want their movie scripts being used for commercial purposes or performed as unlicensed plays. In the case of High School Musical, one of the Disney Channel's most popular movies, Disney eventually had a play written based on the movie and sold that to schools for performances.

If you're a big fan, it is still worth a try to own Disney Channel movie scripts. When it comes to Disney Channel scripts, the best source is Disney itself. Disney takes copyright very seriously and has people dedicated to finding illegal scripts distributed online and removing them.

You can contact the studios directly by writing the studios through their contact form location on the official website. You can also write the studio through regular mail by using the following address:

The Disney Channel 3800 W. Alameda Ave. Burbank, CA 91505

Another option is to call the studio office at (818) 569-7500 for more information on buying an official script. Although there is no official website or location to purchase scripts, contacting the studio directly is your best bet to buy Disney Channel movie scripts.

History of Disney Channel Movie Studios

This history of the Disney Channel movies are important to know if you are looking to buy scripts. If you want an older script from the 1970s or 1980s, you'll need to use different terms than if you are looking for a more modern script.

The Disney Channel movie studios are a separate production company from the Disney movies that are made for the big screen. The production company has been making movies since the channel started in 1983. While there was only one movie that first year, the studio soon began producing six to eight full length movies each year.

There are two distinct phases in Disney Channel movie history. All the movies made from 1983 to 1997 were released under the title of "Disney Premier Movies." In the early days, Disney relied on some of its previous theatrical releases for inspiration. The Parent Trap II and remakes of Swiss Family Robinson and Escape to Witch Mountain were created during this period.

All movies after 1997 were released as "Disney Channel Original Movies." The DCOM line of movies has continued the tradition of creating quality original movies and movie series. Some of the most popular movie series and individual movies have been produced during this time.
